This modern procedure allows the surgeon to view the inside of the joint through tiny incisions and <strong>accurately detect and treat<\/strong> damage without the need for hospitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past, open surgery was the only treatment option, often resulting in significant trauma to the joint, extended hospital stays, immobilization, and pain lasting for weeks. The camera projects a <strong>high-definition, magnified image<\/strong> of the inside of the joint onto a monitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This allows the surgeon to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Carefully examine the joint and <strong>accurately detect even the smallest injuries<\/strong>, even in hard-to-reach areas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repair intra-articular and periarticular lesions using specially designed fine instruments and <strong>biocompatible materials<\/strong> such as sutures and anchors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The small incisions <strong>minimize muscle and tissue trauma<\/strong>, leading to fewer complications and reduced post-operative pain. The small marks fade over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In certain cases, <strong>biological therapies<\/strong> (e.g., <strong>Stem Cells, Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation, Platelet-Rich Plasma &#8211; PRP<\/strong>) may be combined with arthroscopy to enhance healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most arthroscopies last about <strong>one hour<\/strong> and are performed under regional and light general anesthesia. Depending on the type and severity of the injury, different approaches are used\u2014from simple procedures like <strong>meniscus repair or adhesion release<\/strong> to more complex interventions involving <strong>autografts<\/strong> or <strong>tendon transfers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post-Operative Recovery<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pain is usually minimal and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
