When the inflammation involves a tendon, it is referred to as <em>tendinitis<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tendinopathy typically refers to chronic conditions, often caused by overuse, where there is pain in the tendon but without the signs of acute inflammation. In such cases, the tendon shows degenerative changes, including disorganized collagen fibers and a reduced number of cells.
